Hey Tom,This subject was touched on a few weeks ago... I think the consensus was go with the one you're more familiar with... with that said, every "large" project I've worked on has used Java...  so maybe ask yourself what the scope of the project is... also, do you have existing code in CF or Java which is able to port over?

            Since we have more CF developers in-house, we're wondering if there are any disadvantages or limitations of using CF with FDS instead of using Java.  Scalability concerns?  Features missing?  We have existing chat/IM/presence apps that we're interested in porting over to FDS.  Any thoughst are greatly appreciated.
