I believe a Flex UI for CMS and other Groupware application is a great idea. The downfall alot of those CMS/Groupware application live off of Google indexing and the ability to publish tons of HTML pages and have all that SEO power built in. So you might think of doing a hybrid of the too, or test the ramifications of content in Flash on the content indexing realm.
