I have the same issue with an application I'm writing. The other Flex
developer and I were talking about how strange it is that bindings
don't seem to work in two directions. You'd think just by modifying
the text of an input whose text property is bound to another property
that the source property would be changed. With FDS, I suppose it's
good that this doesn't happen, otherwise my SQL server would be be
getting a query with every key stroke with any managed property.

Anyway, you might want to think about writing a class (FDSTextInput or
something) that extends TextInput that can take care of it for you,
otherwise you'll need to have a FocusOut event dealt with in the mxml
of every text box.
