I'm trying to figure out how to use E4X to filter the XML data I got and update the datagrid so I have less roundtrips to the server. I've found several examples in language reference, but those make use of either directly binding to an E4X statement, or using MX binding to do the same.
I'd like to have a function, that will filter my large XML dataset, using E4X (ie, get just the nodes that are of type XYZ) and use that to populate the datagrid.
Hopefully that makes sense?
