are you talking about the fuzziness of the pixel font? i had the same thing happen to me using a pixel font from fontsforflash.com. it looked fine in beta 3, but when the final release came out the fonts went fuzzy/bolder. i think i fixed it by specifying the fontWeight and fontStyle as "normal". also, it didn't help that some of the fonts were .1 pixels off (not even exact pixel measurements). some fonts didn't render well at all and i had to replace it with a similar looking font that i could get to work.

Tried it all... The flashfonts.com website specifically says that all their fonts should be size 8.

Are you sure the font is 8 point?  What happens if you don't set the font size?  What happens if you set it to 7/9/10/11/12/14?

I'm trying to use pixel fonts with flex 2, but keep getting strange results... See this URL:

Log in, click on the Pedigree tab. It's obvious which fonts are supposed to be the embedded ones.

You can right-click to view source, and tell me what I'm doing wrong. The file in question would be /flexComponents/pedigreeCellSmall.mxml
