hmm, that sounds like a huge can of works there, eh?  :)

in the docs we have
selectedIndex property 
selectedIndex:int  [read-write]

The index in the data provider of the selected item.

The default value is -1 (no selected item).

This property can be used as the source for data binding.


Seems I was reading this incorrectly.  This says that changes on selectedIndex are broadcast out, but doesn't say that changing the value broadcasts anything.

You'll either need to pass the view into the Event, so that your Command's
onResult has access to it, or write a ViewHelper and use ViewLocator in the
Command's onResult.

I tend to prefer the former.
