I don´t know if it´s possible to interfere in the preloading funcs.
In flash, I usuly set a flag when the movie has beeen already loaded, 
so it only load once.
Maybe it´s possible to do something like this in flex, with the tab 
navigator. Maybe you know how to.. =)
