Hello All, I am not quite sure how to handle this, and wanted to see if you all could shed some light on this topic.
In SQL Server, there is no such thing as a "Boolean" data type, there is simply a "Bit" data type which can be represented by either a "0" or "1". Of course, this translates quite nicely to "True" and "False", but if I was to pass a Bit Value from SQL to Flex, and the Flex Variable was cast as a Boolean, would Flex know enough to convert a "0" to False and a "1" to True? With the extensive use of ValueObjects, which reside on both sides of the connection, the Variables on both sides are obviously declared with the identical data types. But on the ".cfc" side, you can also specify the "SQL Field Type" as well as the Variable Type. Am I looking for trouble, using Bit Data types with Flex? Of course, I can experiment, but I'd really love to hear the definitive answer from the "everyday professionals" on this topic.
