I had this happen to me twice so far. If I close a Flex with files open in the Source/Design view, the next time I open Flex I will get an error on startup. I have to remove the flexbuilder2.properties in configuration.com.adoble.flexbuilder folder to get Flex to launch. I can then close the oppen source views, replace the properties file, and Flex will open correctly.
I checked the log file, and there is a really lengthy and obscure error message, here is just the top portion: !ENTRY com.adobe.flexbuilder.editors.mxml 4 1 2006-08-28 17:34:07.718 !MESSAGE StatesCombo: can't find current state in list !SESSION 2006-08-29 07:22:27.828 ----------------------------------------------- eclipse.buildId=unknown java.version=1.4.2_09 java.vendor=Sun Microsystems Inc.
