Hmmm.... Bummer... Before I abandon my idea I want to sum up this thread...
I can't create a progress bar that shows buffering progress as long as I use the videoDisplay component. I have to use the netStream objects if I want to create a buffering progress bar, because that's the only way I can access the streams time and bufferLength properties.
