That doc is
simply wrong. I hope that gets fixed before anyone else wastes any more time
because of it.

my understanding, but then I read this line in the docs that made it seem like I
also needed a cross domain file in order to "call out": To load data from a different domain, place a cross-domain policy
file on the server that is hosting the SWF file. In any case, thanks for the
