Hello All, Our Flex App needs the ability to print out Service Orders, along with a multitude of other types of forms.
Being ultra Flash-Savvy, I am quite intimate with the PrintJob Object - and I pretty much know how I'd accomplish this inside of Flash. BUT, I'd really love to hear the Flex way of doing things. My final printouts need to be in the standard 8.5 x 11 format - and I was wondering if my best bet was to create some type of Canvas Component, with all my controls properly placed in their respective places - and finally, have the Canvas size locked into the standard paper size. In the end, we will require a PDF for final output as well - so I am looking at FlashPaper for the time being. In closing, for the present purpose of printing directly from Flex, and then later, supporting PDF output, what kinds of tips could you all throw my way regarding this? Thank you all for your continued help - I can't express my gratitude enough :) Mike -- Flexcoders Mailing List FAQ: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/flexcoders/files/flexcodersFAQ.txt Search Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexcoders%40yahoogroups.com Yahoo!
