Umm... I hope this doesn't mean that the next version will require Eclipse 3.2, as we are using it in Weblogic Workshop which is a 3.1.2 instance.  Having multiple eclipse IDEs open at the same time is NOT an option, given our physical resourcing, and we would certainly not be in a position to practically update if we were forced to do so.

Not a scenario I'm looking forward to. :(

regards,
Christian.

Mac OS wise.  Has anyone tried installing Eclipse 3.2, and installing the Flex 2 plug-in for it?

I recall reading somewhere that the Mac eclipse had some issues with Flex, and that these issues were going to be addressed in the 3.2 release of Eclipse.  Since 3.2 (at least the beta) has been available for download for a while now - it may be already possible to run the IDE on a mac.

So you might be able to see at least a preview of the Mac IDE in action.  This is assuming the Flex2 plugin is written in Java, and works on OSX.   the SDK already works on MacOS..  and adobe claimed the problems weren't with their flex2 plugin, but were in Eclipse..
