I've had some of the same thoughts regarding documentation. The best resource (in terms of useful info and ease of use) in my mind is searching the Help in Eclipse. Does anyone else often experience extremely long loading times for the Flex documentation off of adobe.com? I'd rather use the online version (since it's got user comments) but it's often too slow, so I just stick to the Help in Eclipse.

The "View examples" section in the AS Docs are awesome BTW. Links to tutorials on Adobe would be useful to have linked to from within the docs, maybe in the user comments section. The AS Docs are my main resource, so I'd like to see that as the core and expanded examples linked from there. Just my two cents.

Actually, the documentation itself is very good.

The problem is finding it.  The Adobe Knowledgebase search is very dissapointing, I can’t even use it to find documentation I know exists!  The livedocs search is ok, but I preferred the previous version’s results and result format.  The PDF documents are excellent, but PDF searching reeks.  The Flex Builder help functionality is very useful.

I usually start with google.

I’d like to see a task-oriented list of links to documentation.  A FAQ on steroids.

Use the Combobox's dataProvider collection methods.  addItem() is one.

In Flex 1, 1.5 we could use a loop to add items to list controls so we
could set a 'selected' value... I dont see the addItem anymore... how
is this done now?
