I did find the solution myself. Embedding means reading files in a path
relative to the source files (where the MXML file resides), and NOT where the
SWF file resides (/BIN). The confusion came from runtime URL references (such
as in an HTTPService request) which are relative to the SWF virtual path
location. I am posting anyway, just in case somebody trips over the same ;-) -Iko From: Hi, I am
trying to get a horizontal list going, and following an example in the online
docs. The compiler does not like this code in the CDATA section… unable to resolve 'image filename' for transcoding [Bindable]
[Embed(source="layout1.png")] public var tlayout1 : Class; The
image file resides in the same directory as the SWF (and it is reading XML
files and other stuff from there fine). Any
ideas? Iko -- Flexcoders Mailing List FAQ: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/flexcoders/files/flexcodersFAQ.txt Search Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexcoders%40yahoogroups.com
