There is no concept of registration point in Flex components. You'll have to change the component's x, y, and rotation properties simultaneously. The source file RotateInstance.as contains the trigonometry for doing this, so you should be able to cut-paste-and-adapt this code for your component.

I want rotate my component not around upper-left corner but around
center. I don't know about actionscipt property that realize my
requirements, I found that mx.effects.effectClasses.RotateInstance
implements that functionality but unfortunately i want rotate on user
interaction where effect use will be a problem. Is maybe a simpler solution?
