Hi, Hi – As I’m sure you are aware, the list pricing for Flex Data
Services is: Department Edition - $6000/cpu (up to 100 concurrent users);
Enterprise Edition - $20000/cpu. Volume licensing is available for FDS
following the standard Adobe volume licensing programs. Depending on what
type of company you are, Adobe offers varying discounts for commercial,
government, non-profit and education. These programs are described in
detail at http://www.adobe.com/buy/volume_license/.
I’m guessing that there may be some confusion with the reseller
that you are speaking with. Adobe has several pricing programs available
to resellers depending on the level of value-add that they provide. Many
Adobe resellers only sell Flex Builder and a limited number sell Flex Data
Services. If you’d like to contact me off-list and let me know
which reseller that you spoke with we can be sure that you get connected to the
right reseller that sells Flex Data Services and can offer you our volume
discounts.
Let me also mention of course that we do
have the Express version of Flex Data Services which is FREE. Depending on
what your application will be doing this may be just fine, unlimited
