Hey guys, I do something similar with our charts. The ITEM_ROLL_OVER event has everything you need... just add like so:
chart.addEventListener(ChartItemEvent.ITEM_ROLL_OVER, hoverChartData); and in the ChartItemEvent class there is a hitData property... good luck!
