try use event.stopPropagation(); there is also a event.stopImmediatePropagation();
i have the same thing, a datagrid with a checkbox, but with a big problem. when a change my datagrid.dataProvider all the rows in the datagrid are new, but the checkbox already checked remain in that state... even if the dataField selected is set to false, and if a check the checkbox it seems to be uncheck, but the dataFiled is set true as selected......
