The FDS team has tested the internal builds of the Linux player and RTMP appears to be working.
As mentioned, we have considered a Flex Builder for Linux but we have to take a hard look at lots of factors, technical feasibility, market size, time taken away from new features, etc. So no announced plans at this point, doesn't mean it's dead and gone though.
