wow you doubt i'm a flex newbie ;-)
i'm adding user "markup" (redlining in the GIS world) to a map image,
one type of which is text ("dig here", "dig here & die", etc.), so no
text component. what i'm trying to accomplish is a text box effect
using the TextField's background/background color & i want to give
the users the choice of precisely fitting the "text box" to the text
they input.
