The Adobe Flash Player does not display the range of PDF files handled by the free Adobe Reader and other PDF viewers. Options for similar effects: o Convert PDF to FlashPaper, which can be displayed in Adobe Flash Player, although I'm not sure offhand of invocation via Flex's MXML. o Call up the PDF via Adobe Reader in HTML pages in the usual way. o Possibly surround a PDF viewing area by SWF viewing areas, although anything with multiple browsers and iframes and such gets too dependency-ridden too quickly.
