That's not a bug, but as designed. All series types filter their values out against the min/max ranges of the axes before rendering. If you'd like to disable this behavior...i.e., you are explicitly setting the min/max values and you don't know if the items will end up inside or outside the range, you can set the 'filterData' property on the series to false. Ely.
