For accuracy, I was mistaken in believing that the Exchange Component 
does uses the Google API, it does NOT. It does require a j2ee server, 
which doesn't work for what I'm doing, but seems pretty slick. If you 
are in need of a spell checker, it definitely is worth looking at.
