ClipSync (www.clipsync.com), an Abazab service, is a FREE and easy way for people to watch videos while chatting with their friends. ClipSync is a Rich Internet Application written in Flex. As a member of our small engineering team, you will work both on the client side in FlexBuilder/ActionScript and the server side in Java.
We are specifically looking for someone who has production experience creating applications with Flex. Requirements: - Production experience for the past six months in Flex/ActionScript/Flex Data Services - 7+ years web development experience - 5+ years Java experience - 3+ years architecting complex software systems - Thorough understanding of the software development cycle: specification, design, implementation, debugging, etc. - Strong command of object oriented design patterns and computer science fundamentals - Experience with source control systems - Excellent communication skills with both semi-technical designers and software engineers - Ability to thrive under pressure and deliver in a fast paced multi- project environment - Avid user of social networking sites like MySpace and video sites such as YouTube Primary Job Responsibilities: - Take ownership of key product areas - Work with Product Management to design new features - Collaborate with other Engineers to develop system architecture - Work with Program Management to create a schedule that you can adhere to - Provide documentation that aids QA in testing your features - Work with QA on finding and fixing defects in your code - Provide documentation that aids Operations in deploying your components - Work with Operations to rapidly diagnose and fix bugs in production code Education: BS/BA in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related discipline.
