[flexcoders] Single Flex Client connecting to both .NET/J2EE middleware

Does anyone know if its possible to have a Flex Client which uses
remoting (RPC style) to connect to a .NET backend using WebOrb etc and
a J2EE backend using Flash-remoting or FDS 2?

e.g. the Flex client is talks both to a J2EE evironment and a .NET one
