Hi, Well, you could look into itemRenderers for the dataGrid.
Honestly, I haven't tinkered much with extending the DataGrid so I can't really tell you from 'my' experience. But, from my experience with the Tree's itemRenderer, you might beable to simulate colspan in the data grid itmeRenderer using a property from your dataProvider.
