If this is truly a bug, I agree that it would be nice to know that. Otherwise, if somebody has the answer to how to programmatically add a headerRender and not get this scrolling run-time error, that would be really helpful.

That is why the fixed did work for me :) My application also adds an HeaderRenderer at run-time.
