To my knowledge there is no API for flex 2 and google maps. It's not difficult to do:- there was a great website out there called flashearth that accessed the API s for google,virtual earth and yahoo but even the author admitted that it went against the spirit of the terms & conditions of the various APIs. For a proof of concept test - it's relatively easy to work out how to call and stitch the individual images together - just go to your temp internet files folder and you'll see how they're called
