This is a surprising amount of bloat. Do you have a list of the framework components that you're using?

At the moment size isnt an issue and I have gone for the ease of development over size. Customizing the flex component code is an option I havent considered yet, thinking that my only hopes were either to re-invent the wheel or wait for the flash 9 compontents to come out.
