Shan, that's exciting news! Thanks for the link. Mike, I completely agree. There's an application I am building for the advertising industry that will benefit greatly from an integrated API and I have been holding off on the mapping functionality until the new API is released. I'm extremely excited to be a developer right now! Flex has opened so many doors for internet application developer.
As a side note, the Flex 2 Yahoo Maps API suggestion went from 2 votes to 67 in less than 24 hours. A Yahoo employee posted the following: "Wow, okay, seems like there's some interest in Flex 2. :) Making the appropriate inquiries now."
