Thank you very much for the wish list, http://adobe.com/go/wish. I've already formulated the wish for full proxyless HTTP support. Thank you also for the socket suggestion. I have been serious with Java since 1.1 but fairly green with ActionScript. (I working on chapter 17 of the Training from the Source book) As a result I often wonder what is possible and what is not.
I will start an small investigation to find out if it is feasible to implement a rudimentary HTTP client so that I can use the REST verbs needed, GET, POST, PUT and DELETE. Thank you all for your time! Have a nice day, Marcel
