[flexcoders] problem in getting value of an editable ComboBox

Hi,

I have an editable combo on my flex screen.

I have entered some text in combo's editable area. but I am not able 
to get that value using ComboboxID.selectedID or ComboboxID.text.

How can I get that value...

Pls help me
