It's strange. I simply put in the array data as part of the Points array
declaration. In the Application complete procedure, I checked:

var uintL:uint;

uintL=Points.length;

The debug trace got 0.

Finally found s/g in Adobe kb for Flash. Points.length will return the
number of "columns" and Points[0].length will return number of columns. My
actual array was 15 across by 79 high. For whatever reason, I dorked with
some other stuff not related to the array declaration and behold!
Points.length and Points[0].length return the correct values. The () were
just a stab; I tried it several ways. Who knows?

Multidemensional Arrays

i dont know if this is really the cause of your
problem, but for determining length of arrays, you use
.length property .. not .length() method.

If that was just typo error, can you elaborate why
from the given example you 'know' you have two rows
and columns? How are the data related to each other?
