It's strange. I simply put in the array data as part of the Points array declaration. In the Application complete procedure, I checked: var uintL:uint; uintL=Points.length; The debug trace got 0. Finally found s/g in Adobe kb for Flash. Points.length will return the number of "columns" and Points[0].length will return number of columns. My actual array was 15 across by 79 high. For whatever reason, I dorked with some other stuff not related to the array declaration and behold! Points.length and Points[0].length return the correct values. The () were just a stab; I tried it several ways. Who knows?
