The formatter should just format the display, using a renderer or a labelfunction. The underlying data in the dataProvider will still be a plain number.

I must be overlooking the solution. I have a currency field which is retrived via a remoting service and the data is 123.45. When I display it in a form I need to format it as $123.45. I have done that with the currencyformatter. But now when I need to return the data to the server I want the raw data (unformatted) as 123.45. --- In [email protected] <mailto:flexcoders%40yahoogroups.com> , "darylgmyers" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > I have a VO which contains a date field formatted as 2007-01-01.
