However, I need the spacing between the items in the box to be dramatically less than the standarding spacing because we have some real estate issues. I currently use absolute positioning on the checkboxes, and have them such that there is only about 1 px of space between each one. When I put them inside a vbox, they are automatically spaced in a way that I could only describe as "double spacing"... ie, there's room for another checkbox between each. I've tried setting the paddingTop and paddingBottom on the checkboxes and the vbox itself to no avail. Any suggestions?
