I've been thinking about switching a lot of my development work over to the Mac, but the performance of FlexBuilder has been disappointing. I'm comparing FB on my new Mac Mini (1.83ghz core duo, 1 gig RAM) against a more than 3-year-old PC (3.1 ghz P4, 1 gig RAM). Startup and compile times are comparable, but the Mac version doesn't keep up with my typing as well as the PC does. If I start typing random characters, it actually takes several seconds for the Mac to catch up. On the PC, the keyboard response is close to instantaneous. (I'm trying the same keyboard on both machines.) I do not notice these sorts of keyboard buffering delays on other Mac applications.
Anyone else noticing similar slowness on the Mac?
