Thanks Tom. In a nutshell, I'm trying to have multiple entry points:

1) links from blog areas (not created yet)
2) direct entry into the "Images Gallery" page via a navigational
button
3) Newest Images Scroller on Home Page

...all bring you to the Images Gallery. With 1 and 3 it needs to
bring you to the image you clicked (from the link or the particular
image in the newest images scroller) and it needs to bring you to
the right gallery xml file and it needs to expand the tree to that
node.

With 2, it could be either opens the first image of the first
gallery or randomly chooses the gallery and/or image it will
initially present you with.

I'm very lost, and part of the reason for that may be that
HTTPServices is not the answer (?) as well my AS3 skills really are
disgusting at this stage. I've never used OOP before, coming from
loading AS1 (and minimal AS2) into movieclips in Flash...

I can build the db perfectly (tables), I know exactly the user
interface I want, but what's happening in the middle, I'm lost with.

Shawn
