I've been converting an existing dojo/javascript project off and on for the last 2 weeks and can offer the following semi-newbie observations:
like most "high end" products, it's easy to do the things they thought of in the documentation. I'm struggling to figure out how to do some things that I cannot find in the documentation. These are the nitty gritty things you need in the real world. I could kludge it the way I did in dojo, but since I'm also evaluating applicability, I'm trying to do it the right way. Of course I've had only about 2 hours help from a travelling flex guru and have not purchased any books yet. Still I've got a pretty good app taking shape with very little code. Much cleaner than javascript.
