Personally, I have not verified any fixes. Adobe did put me on the lcds beta program but I have been too busy pressed up against my own deadlines and work-rounds for this exact problem to be able to reverse back to Feb and take another look.
If anyone does find out I would love to hear. I have had to write a lot of code to get round this and if you look at my other post in a similar domain it has not been altogether successful. http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/flexcoders/message/71628 This seocnd issue is causing me a great deal of trouble to the point where, for a second time, I am questioning both the FDS architecture, costs and my involvement with it. My horrible reality is that I can still not get a reliable graph of parent-child relationships to work and maintain itself during what I consider to a be pretty standard update cycle. This is very regrettable and does not reflect well, in my opinion. I don't like shouting "bug" or bad-mouthing flex because I think the framework in general is really great and is a breakthrough and I genuinely am a great fan, but I am at the point of chucking it out completely because I just can't get it stable and reliable without writing a lot of BS code to plug leaks; I can do that in a variety of other languages and guarantee myself success. Furthermore it is very difficult to get any real help and I feel (rightly or wrongly) at the bleeding edge and somewhat alone, not to mention that skilled resources are like hen's teeth. I am at the mercy of the good graces of the contributors from Adobe, and others, to this messageboard, and to be frank that is not a comfortable place to be. In the back of my mind I have the worry that it is something stupid I have done but I have no idea how I find out if that is true or not. Bottom line is that my project is stalled behind a couple of pretty serious problems which appear on the surface to be Adobe issues. I currently have no path to getting them addressed. I am very interested to hear your experiences and will very gladly share any knowledge I have. My aim is general uptake of flex and fds/lcds and I am evangelising exactly that in my community. If there is any way I can help on the off-chance that I may have encountered issues you are wrestling with, please get in touch. I am happy to take messages off-list.
