It would be my speculation that Flex 3 will be announced / released
at Max, so you still have a good 4-5 months to go before an
upgrade. I would not expect buying 4 months in advance to qualify
for a free upgrade, but am unaware of such policies. Maybe you'll
want to investigate Flex Builder subscriptions?
I would expect that you'll be able to use Flex Builder 2 w/ the
Flex 3 SDK w/o much effort, although I would also suspect that FB3
will offer features that make an upgrade very compelling.
Did I mention this was all speculation?

we're just about to cough for 2 more FB2 licenses (with charting).
What with Flex 3.0 getting closer every day and it being released as
open source, can we buy today with impunity and confidence that we
won't be further stung with IDE upgrades when Flex3 is released?
one would hope not, eh? just adding new libraries to FB2. but I'd like
to hear the official word before I ask the boss to commit.
thanx
