I haven't been able to get it to work either, I get the data wizard window telling me " You must have a table" but the lists don't populate.
I had to download a jar from Microsoft, http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/data/aa937724.aspx and install that to get it to communicate. So the Ping test now works, but no dice beyond that...
