I am having this problem too, though I first installed the files in the tech 
note you 
mentioned and then later ran the full 'hotfix 2' installer.  I am still unable 
to get the debug 
Flash player to talk to Flex.

(I am using a Mac, and the problem is consistent between browsers.)

Anyone else seen this and been able to fix it?
