yes, in order to get that 'save as' dialog box- you must send a specific
header to the browser, and unless i'm mistaken- flash can't do that.

you can call a remoteObject to do a search for the records and then cache
the query used in a session somewhere, then when you export- you can call a
file on the server to serve up that cached data with the appropriate
header.  that's the closest i've come to doing this.
