Hi Yes it is possible, becasue MXML is also a class which extends the base tag. for example if base tag is application then class extends Application, if base tag is Canvas in MXML then in as the class extends Canvas class.
So same way, the AS class need to extend ServiceLocator and specify all the required service used in application. Hope this information will help you else i will post an AS file of serviceLocator.
