I can't make any compelling arguments about file sizes or framework caching, I'm still too green in Flex for that. But if you wonder if Flex itself has a future, just look at Silverlight. Microsoft wouldn't have wasted all that money building it if they didn't see Flex/AIR as some sort of threat. That alone makes me feel good about using Flex.
