This is actually a major pet peeve of mine and I find it frustrating to see
people post small
messages that have multiple copies of the Yahoo Groups footer, large corporate
confidentiality sigs, extraneous material or all of the above in some
combination.

My favourites are posts that have 1 line of original content and multiple lines
of
unnecessary material. I think the worst I have seen so far is 250+ lines of
quoted material
to one line of new content.

I think that people should take the time to trim their posts and make it so
that it is easy to
parse through their message. Especially on a list that gets this much traffic.

It doesn't help though that so many email clients make top posting a default
(or only)
option for replies and don't make it easy to single out a section to reply to.

Its easier to browse through a single mail message than it is to read 100+
emails.

In any case its not relevant :-) Its a fairly popular option for Yahoo Groups
and people not
taking the time to trim their posts makes it a nightmare to read.
