If you're providing a fully qualified class name and method, then you're calling an assembly (good). If you're providing the URL for an ASMX or WSDL file then you're calling a web service (not as good). It's also possible to call an ASPX but that's really bad and removed from the forthcoming FluorineFX update.

Sam: Thanks for the reply. I have posted to the Fluorine mailing list. You ask "are you using Fluorine to talk to an assembly directly or are you talking to a web service?" I believe that I am talking to an assembly directly, but being an ASP.NET novice I do not know the difference, how can I tell? Basically if you can point me to the docs that define what each means, I will gladly read them and let you know. Paul
