Hi! I want to create a Menu control in Flex, which mimics the Menus in Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. I have already created a method to create a dynamic blurring and semitransparent canvas element with rounded corners and a drop shadow. I thought this was the hardest part, but now I am stuck, because I have no idea how to manipulate the appearance of the standard Flex Menu control... I need to change the background of the Menu in order to draw my own background with the graphics object. I searched for Flex skins and tried to figure out how they change the appearance of the Menu control, but as it seems no one makes big changes. Probably it is not skinnable very well.
