Even then I've still found the loss of autocomplete/colouring to occur sometimes. I've not yet managed to work out the circumstances that cause it (for me, at least), mainly since it only happens once in a while and I can life with it. Funnily enough, for me it can happen with a file that opened up fine, for some reason that eludes me.
